Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 206 – Floral Delight

Mary is hosting today’s challenge, Floral Delight. Lots of flowers please!!

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it meets the Floral Delight theme.

My card  was made as a 7 x 5 using plain white card.
Onto the the base I layered an oval tattered lace mat  (velvet ruffles edge) which I distressed with Victorian velvet distress ink.    I stamped and embossed with sparkly glitter embossing powder the flower image from a honey doo stamp set from my stash.  I coloured it with watercolours and cut it out, so it could be layered onto the base mat.  Into the centre of the lily, I stuck some tiny AB gems.
I used two more tattered lace dies to make my sentiment mat and layer and distressed the bottom layer heavily with Victorian Velvet ink – the sentiment was (I think) a Crafters Companion stamp.    I attached the sentiment to the card using foam pads.
Finally, I stamped the Happy Birthday along the bottom of the card, and applied some more gems to either corner of the base card.
Good luck with the challenge – I look forward to seeing everyone’s entries!
