Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 181 – Love, Love, Love

Lin is hosting our challenge today, and the theme is Love, Love, Love. As Valentine’s Day is just a couple of weeks away now is the time to make something special for the one you love, or just for someone in love!
As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it has a love theme.

Please remember our 15 total challenge rule!

My card this time is a CAS one – I’m not a girl for multi layers, really!
This was a very quick card to make, and simple.  My brief was a valentine card for my friend to give to her husband – and she didn’t want cutesy or sloppy.  I think this fits the bill just fine!
It’s a plain white 6 x 6 card base, onto which I embossed some hearts using a scoreboard (the Eazi Score, to be exact).  I then used a “lips” stamp (maker of which is unknown) with a deep pink ink pad to make the rest of the background have kisses.
My final touch was a peel off sentiment, placed on white card and layered onto gold card and stuck on with foam pads.  I used some of the gold peel off hearts from the sheet to pick out the embossed hearts, and it was done!

  1. Fabulous card Jackie, I think it fits your brief perfectly, love the combo of embossed hearts with inked kisses, have a great week xx

  2. Love the simplicity of this card with such wonderful additions of lips, hearts and a sentiment. You have put these three ingredients together with a delightful to the eye ‘love’ card. Fabulous!
